Hello, I’m Sophie
Project manager and parent, currently an expat based in Zurich, Switzerland.
A couple of years back I moved here with my family, and what started as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
Origins
Moving to Switzerland wasn't part of our long-range plan. As with many international moves, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The early months were hectic — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and fresh expectations. Daily tasks felt more challenging than expected.
The Transition Phase
Culture shock and uncertainty came, along with plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
What Prompted Me to Create VexaKinpyrNivadOrn
Most information on the web offered either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. A genuine, everyday family viewpoint was missing.
This site aims to bridge that gap with practical advice drawn from real-life experiences in Switzerland.

- A tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
